How we report, and how we rate

The Next Bitcoin covers crypto markets, protocols and policy, and scores the venues people actually use. No paid coverage, no sponsored rankings.

Fees

Maker/taker schedules at realistic volume tiers, plus spread, funding and withdrawal costs — not the headline rate.

Security

Proof of reserves, custody split, incident history, insurance claims and how quickly disclosures actually arrive.

Usability

Onboarding time, order-entry quality, mobile parity, and whether the advanced surface is usable under stress.

Asset coverage

Depth on majors first, breadth second. A long token list does not outrank liquid books and clean fiat rails.

Sourcing

Every market claim is tied to observable data: onchain records, exchange APIs, filings or named attribution. Anonymous sourcing is used only when the information is verifiable elsewhere and the risk to the source is real.

Corrections are made in place with a note. We do not silently edit published claims.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links to brokers are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when a reader opens an account. Commercial relationships are never a scoring input, never change a rank, and never buy placement. Scores are set before commercial terms are discussed.

Nothing published here is financial advice. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose the full value of your position.
